Hello. I'm a law student in Williamsburg, Virginia. You can find out more about me, if you'd like; or, enjoy the rest of the site.

The Schlitz Room

Posted: September 19th, 2004 | Author: themarkpike | Filed under: Stuff |

I’m in the Schlitz Room with my friend Greg. We’re not drinking. In fact, it’s not a bar. We’re in Milwaukee and this is the name of the conference room in the Hilton hotel. In fact, they’re all named after beverages. The Pabst room is next door. Miller is down the hallway. I think I am going to go ahead and make reservations for my Honeymoon so I can make it a magic night in the Olde English Honeymoon Suite.

Backtracking to earlier today…. The White Sox game was wonderful. They won.
We scalped tickets from a guy who introduced himself like this, “My name is God, but people call me Ace”.
Chris and I almost made it on to the Jumbotron. But we didn’t. But still, the anticipation of having the FanCam focus in on us and the possibility of having our looks judged by 20,000 drunk baseball fans was exciting.
The massive 500 person training conference shall commence in the morning.
I have driver’s ed because I apparently don’t have a clean record. Dude, it went from 70 to 55 out of nowhere… I swear.

It’s true. That 70 was a trap, and a damned trap at that.

It was a total trap … but at least it was right before the construction zone. Then it woulda been a disaster.
