“Another World is Possible”

I’m in Miami for the weekend. I’m decompressing. I feel like I’ve got the bends. It happened to quickly. I need to adjust. Maybe I’ll go jump in the pool.

This is a picture of the back of the anarchist bookstore/ indy media center I’ve been working from the entire election.
“Another World Is Possible”… maybe
Hey man, I feel like our Kerry hangover is starting to pass and people can start talking about how Kerry lost. I commend your efforts and know that there were thousands of people all over the country doing what you were doing, and honestly, I feel bad that the only thing I did to contribute was to go to the Dave Matthews concert and convince one girl (that voting for Bush because her dad said it was the best thing to do) to vote for Kerry because she believed in 90% of the issues Kerry was standing for.
Regardless, I feel bad for Kerry, but even worse for you guys. You all probably dont even know him and spent a good part of your life campaigning for him. I think you coming to Gainesville did work though. This is still Kerry (well democrat) country and your efforts did work.
Hopefully we CAN come together as a country and work through this. Although Bush’s first press conference the day after his re-election did confirm why there is no way anyone should have voted for that man. (sock puppet come to mind?)
a new look eh? Hope your over it by now. There’s so much more to be done. It was fun working with you. By the way I wouldn’t say the CMC is that anarchist. Enjoy Miami.

Tom,
great to hear from you! i’ll check out your blog now.
i would agree that CMC is not exactly an anarchist bookstore, but when trying to explain the ambiance of CMC to folks not familiar with it, I’d say the best cognitive shortcut is indeed, “anarchist bookstore”.
for everybody out there reading this who really want to know what the CMC is all about, hit this up: http://www.civicmediacenter.org/news/
