We finally packed the 10 foot rental truck and hit the road to Washington, DC. We tried to guess what the probability would be of an unmarked van getting pulled over within a 4 block radius of the White House. I guessed about 20%.
As we drove away from the beach, through the snow, and over/under [...]

December 20th, 2004 · No Comments
I am in New York City. I wish I was still in Florida. The temperature today was in the single digits, and I’m not talking about centigrade. I guess you can’t compare (Big) Apples to (Florida) Oranges.
It’s been wonderful to see friends and hang out with my sister a bit.

The torah portion this week was about Joseph’s [...]

Furthermore, whenever I have felt the urge to write, I have had to devote that energy to [...]

The Apartment Hunter
December 1st, 2004 · No Comments
Apartment hunting sounds like an urban sport. As if I need camo and ammo. I guess there are parallels though. I sit perched at my desk, waiting for the 3pm online postings like a red-state wacko waiting for fawns to emerge from the forest at dawn. I click quickly, browsing through the listings looking for [...]
