Latkes…

Having your Bar Mitzvah during Hannukah is twice the fun. I guess it’s similar to what Jesus got to experience always having his birthday coincide with Christmas…. oh… ok… nevermind
The torah portion this week was about Joseph’s ability to interpret dreams. Back in the day, mine was about the correct protocol for summoning people to temple… I think. These are all relatively tame torah portions. I have had the pleasure of sitting through some awkward services where 13 year old boys have to read, in ancient Hebrew, the Talmudic law for creating leper colonies, treating sexually transmitted diseases, and why jews can’t eat oysters.
Upon return to Va Beach, I helped make some latkes with the mommy.
