Hello. I'm a law student in Williamsburg, Virginia. You can find out more about me, if you'd like; or, enjoy the rest of the site.

Happy New Year

We finally packed the 10 foot rental truck and hit the road to Washington, DC. We tried to guess what the probability would be of an unmarked van getting pulled over within a 4 block radius of the White House. I guessed about 20%.
As we drove away from the beach, through the snow, and over/under the bridge/tunnel my pops casually said, “I bet this stuff would make good blog material”. Definitely a digital kodak moment and a classic quote.
We unloaded all the stuff into my new apartment and returned the truck in a part of town that I would not recommend walking around with a briefcase full of money. Somebody walked up to my dad, unrolled a newspaper in front of him, and offered to sell him a pen that has a secret hidden knife, “you know, for the ATMs!”. My dad politely declined, “That’s okay. I have enough pens and I don’t think I need a knife”. I guess the pen is, after all, mightier than the sword. I wonder if the pen was a Sharpie…
We made a family trip to Ikea and spent several hours wandering, which got me wondering: would Ikea be the perfect place to stay if you were homeless? Like, can’t you just imagine the Boxcar Children hiding in the kitchen cabinets until the lights go off and then relaxing in one of the living rooms?

Happy New Years!
I resolve to write more often and/or more better in the 2k5.
Here’s some photos from the past year: 2004.
