Hello. I'm a law student in Williamsburg, Virginia. You can find out more about me, if you'd like; or, enjoy the rest of the site.

Recipe for Disaster? Appetite for Destruction

I have a confession to make: I’ve been watching the Food Network more frequently than Sportscenter lately.
That’s a lie, but I have been watching a lot more Food Network than I used to. In the past I would occasionally watch a show, get hungry, and consider venturing to the market to try out a new culinary creation. I would always get lazy and remain within the world of Ramen; never feeling inspired enough to drive somewhere and pickup ingredients. Now that the grocery store is a short walk away, I really have no excuse. Also, I’m usually searching for a reason to take a break from studying.
My favorite show, by far, is Rachel Ray’s 30 Minute Meals. If you hit up the website ahead of time, check out the recipe, buy the ingredients, then you can cook along with her during the show. This is revolutionary stuff. The closest television media will ever get to instant gratification, short of being able to download a hamburger into your TiVo.
Last evening, I was moved by an episode with a Chorizo and Chicken Stoup (a word she invented to describe the mix between Soup and Stew). About an hour later (the title is misleading.. they’re professionals and don’t take into account things like having to deactivate the fire alarm), I was eating Stoup. It’s delicious, and I thought I’d share some leftovers with you. If only this revolutionary technology was developed a little faster…
At least we have scratch n’ sniff computer monitors. Give it a whiff:

And here’s a taste of my brunch from last weekend…
