Video Game Champion of the World

Posted: June 8th, 2005 | Author: themarkpike | Filed under: Stuff |

So I won some video game contest at a recent Washington Nationals game and now I only have to beat like 10 more dudes to win a free trip to the All-Star Game. This is the most exciting thing since my co-ed sand soccer team won the North American Sand Soccer Championship (Go Flying Wombats!).
My buddy is getting married during All-Star weekend, so I might scalp the tickets if I win.

Congrats! Your mother must be very proud. What game was it? Have you ever seen the movie “The Wizard”?

I got the same email! You’re lucky I don’t live up there. I’d have to bring my A-game… (I totally went easy on you last time) Good luck

Katie- I love that you chose to hyphenate your “A-game” because it sorta looks like you’re bringin “A minus game”, which is nowhere near my “A++ stizzy”.
Fortunately/Unfortunately, my buddy was having a bday soiree that night. So I have nothing to report about this video game contest. I can say for sure though that if I had won a video game contest, it would have been bittersweet… who the hell would ever want to brag about winning a video game contest? It’d be like me having to make announcements on behalf of the Math Team in high school. MATHLETICS, baby. Represent.
