Things

“Thing. Thing. Thing.”

I had to see a speech therapist when I was younger. I guess I had trouble with the “TH” sound, because that’s all I remember saying over and over again for 30 minutes at a time.

This posting is going to be a therapy of things. This is just going to be the things I am thinking of this thecond… excuse me… second.

Things I’ve beeen listening to recently and had forgotten how catchy they are: Missy Elliott and Timbaland’s “Sock it to Me” and Harvey Danger’s “Flagpole Sitta.”

Things I watched on DVD tonight and was surprised I had never seen before: Heathers.

Things I watched on TV tonight and made me want to hit a pause button on my life so I could be trapped in the moment forever: Kurt Vonnegut on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

Things I immediately want to read and therefore visited Amazon to get as many details as possible, though I was very upset with myself for not knowing about the book in advance but also very giddy about the huge surprise: A Man Without a Country, by Kurt Vonnegut.

Things other than All Things Considered on NPR that are totally worth listening to: This American Life, this one (Act Two) in particular.

Things that make me excited in September: baseball playoff races.

Things I’ve been thinking of doing lately, but haven’t gotten around to yet: redesigning this blog, taking more polaroids, wearing more argyle, etc.

Now I’m going to be listening to Missy and Timbaland’s “Sock it to Me” for the rest of the day. Thanks!

Any chance you’ll be at the LB show on Sunday?
