10,000
Posted: September 23rd, 2005 | Author: themarkpike | Filed under: Stuff |I’m about to hit 10,000 on the site counter. Whoever e-mails me first after that number on the left-side of the screen expands to 5 digits, I will write you a letter and send a small prize of a yet to be determined value.
I don’t pay too much attention to the site stats here though. I have it set so that every time I reload the page, it gets counted. Also, a conservative estimate: 47% of these page hits come from my immediate family reloading the page to see if I’ve written anything new.
In honor of this moderately momentous occasion, I will be linking the period at the end of this sentence to a blog that chronicles an effort to see all 10,000 bird species in the world. The bird is the word.
