A few months ago I had the audacity to e-mail every Mark Pike that I could locate through Google, and challenge them to a Google ranking contest. Well, I didn’t really hear back from anybody, which I interpreted as an admission of defeat and proof positive that I am the numero uno “Mark Pike”. I’m still ranked second though, as far as Google is concerned.

Finally, several months later, I got a message from the British Mark Pike. It simply said:

Do people put a middle initial in? I’m Mark A. Pike?
-Mark

How is this possible!? Somebody else with the same name as me AND the same middle initial. That’s it. The gauntlet has been thrown. There can only be one of us with the initials of MAP.
