Dgenetics + Radiohead

October 13th, 2007 · 1 Comment

My old college roommate, the head of the Dgenetics Musics label, released a new music video for his disco roller jam “Skate With Me.” The visuals are 24 hours of quintessential “Floss Angeles”, thanks to talented director Drew Innis. Dgenetics rolls around town rockin’ a cardboard boombox radiohead and parties like an electro-pop star. The video makes me want to conduct low-price airfare searches and get out to Cali as soon as possible.

However, Dgenetics is bringing the party to you if you live in NYC. He’s putting on a showcase for the CMJ music festival. If you’re free on Monday night, go check out the entire Dgenetics Musics label performing live at Delancey. Dgenetics will be rockin’ the boombox on his cranium.

Speaking of Radiohead.

I somehow managed to relevantly discuss Radiohead for a law school class. In my Internet law class, we have been evaluating the current state of copyright law and I felt compelled to write about the innovative distribution model that Radiohead adopted for their album In Rainbows. If you haven’t heard the album, head over to their website and download it for whatever price you want. Or, tune in to my weekly radio show, where I’ll be playing it pretty much non-stop.

I’d like to read that which you wrote. Still not sure how much to contribute. Am I a bad person if I only pay 4 bucks? Is my friend Adam morally superior for having paid 11 and change?
